It's a much better option to simply choose which applications use the NVIDIA card. It's very common with high performance laptops due to the pretty much automatic inclusion of an integrated (Read: Intel) GPU for low power modes (battery saver profiles, etc.). The only way to confirm what the OP says is to see a DXDiag report generated by the machine.Īlso, the process of forcing the NVIDIA GPU to be used with specific applications is something we've provided instructions for, for at least a couple years now. Also, 100% of our Intel GPU laptops that had this issue have been updated and it fixed it for them. Joey Fedric I've seen many customers with this issue, and a force update of the latest drivers fixes the issue. It appears they have been listening to our comments, so I look forward to the next iteration. Even the Change Log no longer displays any "Coming Soon" notices (which previously showed v1.5.4 and v1.6). Second, I noticed that after the rapid fire introduction of Studio and all the updates, Topaz has slowed down since v1.5.3. Although I'm getting more and more accustomed to Studio, I still like using the legacy plug-ins, so I'm glad I kept the latest versions of the legacy execute files on my back-up drive. The legacy download button directs you to the Studio version. First is that if you go into the legacy Topaz site to download the legacy plug-ins, you can no longer download the ones for which there are new "in Studio" versions. TIA for any of your thoughts.Īlso I noticed a few new things about Topaz Studio vs legacy Topaz as I was setting up my new machine. This post is to find out if anyone else is having this problem, or may have a possible solution (Note: this is my first foray into Windows 10 and I may not be familiar with adjusting how apps appear on the screen). I have put in a support request with Topaz and they are working on it. Note that I am on the latest version of Windows 10 on the workstation which is running NVidia M1200 graphics. I have tried over a dozen different combinations of screen sizes and scaling parameters, but can not get Studio to properly appear in any one. The bottom and sides are tight to the edge, but do show enough to be used. I can not see the top of Studio where the Menu is. The problem is that Studio launches in a size that's bigger than the screen (or bigger than the Window when not used full screen). It happens whether I launch Studio through a host (Photoshop CC) or launch it on its own. I have a new mobile graphics workstation with a 3840x2160 screen and I'm having a problem when using Topaz Studio.
